How do you cut off a url

In replying to Todd re snowblower, I went to the thread on 12-24-00 entitled "Best Snowblower" and tried to highlight the url in the floating window that has the opened thread on it in order to "cut" the url(control-c) in order to paste it on the reply today. Nothing happens except to move the window around abit. How can you cut and paste a specific thread on this site? I cruised the menu above and don't find an answer. Any help is appreciated

In Netscape "right click" choose "send page to" look at Url in message window.
In Internet Explorer "right click" then choose "properies" then highlight URL and cut and paste. ....
